Sprinkler tanks

Foundation

Tank construction is located on a foundation slab made according to our directives, and anchored to the foundation with the use of anchor clamps and tie-bolts. On investor’s demand, we prepare tank foundation slab designs and foundation slabs with technological wires and flanges – according to a particular project. What stands behind the tightness of our tanks, is EPDM membrane which prefabricated by the producer and dedicated for tanks with particular dimensions. Using the membrane prevents the walls from having direct contact with water, which has crucial influence on the tank’s durability.

Construction

A standard tank consists of steel, galvanized plates of 2,5m width and 1,25m height. The thickness of sealcoat slabs depends on the size of tank, required norms and standards. The sheets are made from galvanized steel – type S350GD+Z275 or Z360.

Particular plate sheets are screwed with M12 bolts directly at a construction site. The tank’s shell is mounted to a concrete foundation with the use of galvanized angle brackets, anchor clamps and bolts. On client’s demand, there is a possibility of powder coating of the tank’s coat, or covering it with troughed sheet in a chosen RAL colour.

The roof of the tank is a self-supporting construction made from Z-type cold-rolled profiles covered with troughed sheet or, optionally, heated with “sandwich” panels.

Warranty

The producer gives a 5-year warranty for the tank, a 24-month warranty for mechanical elements and a 12-month warranty for electric elements. In order to keep the warranty valid, it is necessary to do annual inspections of the tank, as well as – after 3 years of exploitation – an inspection together with interior cleaning.

Advantages

  • fast mounting (approx. 7 days, depending on the tank’s capacity)
  • full equipment of all necessary unions
  • a module construction allowing for tank dimensions modification
  • high production quality
  • long-term warranty

During contract realization MILTOM provides detailed design for the purposes of obtaining erecting permit, detailed design documentation and subcontracting documentation of the tank, prepared by a licensed designer.

Our company specialises in servicing tanks in the following fields:

  • checkups
  • inspections
  • interior cleaning
  • exchange of tank isolation, membranes, roofs
  • fixing heater-work and water-level monitoring systems
  • expansion (enlargement)
  • location change

Potable water tanks

MILTOM offer includes potable water tanks made of:

  • Galvanized steel protected with polyester powder paint or epoxy paint
  • Stainless steel: AISI 304 (1.4304) or AISI 316L (1.4401)
  • Tanks are erect in a cylinder-type construction and are made of bolt-screwed panels of dimensions: 1,25m x 2,5m and are sealed with Saba-type polyurethane mass.
  • Tanks provided by MILTOM have all necessary atests of the Polish National Institute of Hygiene.

Hot water tanks

Hot water tanks are an excellent solution for energetic industry. As one of few companies in Poland, we erect on-ground steel screwed heat accumulators which accumulate thermal energy in the form of hot water.

Thanks to the appropriately selected isolation layer of the foundation, roof and coat of the tank, the accumulator protects from energy loss by accumulating heat when the need for it is lower, and giving the heat back when its consumption increases. The thickness of the isolation layer depends on client’s demands and tank’s parameters.

What stands behind the tightness of our tanks? EPDM membrane which is prefabricated by the producer and dedicated for tanks with particular dimensions. Using the membrane prevents the walls from having direct contact with water, which has crucial influence on the tank’s durability.

Heat accumulators can be used in:

  • heat and power plants
  • greenhouses
  • boiler houses
  • farms

Advantages:

  • lower costs of power and service
  • reduction of harmful substances emission
  • low use of cauldron-burnt fuel
  • possibility to obtain EU grants

Fire pumps

UNISTREAM and THRUSTREAM pumps were specially designed and have optimal work characteristics, reliability and high efficiency required by fire-fighting sprinkler and water hose installations.

These pumps are produced according to the highest technical standards and they meet the requirements of British and American (NFPA 20) norms, also with FM approval. The sets are mounted on a joint base, powered by electric or combustion engine (Diesel), and thanks to having full steering automatics they are ready to get connected to the object. Additionally, pumps with diesel engine are also equipped with fuel tank, engine cooling system, battery pack and silencer with exhaust pipe.

Fire pumps from SPP Pumps Limited are produced in accordance with ISO 9001 quality system. All sets are factory-tested, electrically assembled and mounted on a joint base, thanks to which the Orderer receives the whole set from one producer. Still, installation of the set is economical and space-saving. It is also possible to order fittings and accessories needed to equip fire pumps.

Our devices have both warranty and post-warranty service. The startup and pump-work parameter setup are included in the price of the whole set.

Advantages:

  • wide range of use in fire-fighting installations.
  • high availability of spare parts
  • produced and checked according to international norms
  • full steering automatics
  • easy maintenance
  • silent work
  • high efficiency
  • atests allowing for use in fire-fighting circumstances.

Fire-fighting pumphouses

MILTOM designs, mounts and services water pumphouses for fire-fighting purposes, i.a. to feed sprinkler, drencher, foam and water hose installations. Our pumping stations are designed in accordance with generally applicable law, design standards, device producers and insurers requirements and Clients’ facultative expectations.

The standard equipment of our pumphouses includes:

  • casing (panel or container type)
  • pumps: main pump, standby pump, ”jockey” type constant-pressure pump
  • internal steel pipe lines: suction, dicharge, test, fill in and cooling system
  • water stop, regulatory and measuring fittings
  • elements of lighting, heating, natural and mechanical ventilation
  • power supply and control cabinet, with external power supply connection

Tank and fire-pump service

We offer service of the following elements:

  • tanks
  • pumps
  • fire-fighting pumphouses
  • sprinkler installations
  • water hose installations

We do:

  • checkups
  • inspections
  • repairs
  • maintenance

We service tanks with sealing membranes (EPDM and butyl) and tanks sealed with mastic system, e.g. Saba (without internal membranes).

We offer works in the field of repairing or exchanging roofs, membrane exchange-repair and inside-tank isolation, as well as repairing or exchanging fittings and heaters together with heater-work and water-level monitoring system.
